James Lambert
James Lambert has been an archivist in the Division des archives de l’Université Laval since January 1989. After studies in history at the University of Guelph, Carleton University, and Université Laval, he completed a Master’s degree in Archival Studies at Université Laval in 1994. In the meantime, he was employed by the Public Archives of Canada (now Library and Archives Canada) and the Dictionnaire biographique du Canada. He was president of the Association des Archivistes du Québec in 1995–1996 and of the Canadian Archives Foundation from 1998 until 2002.
Archivaria, the journal of the Association of Canadian Archivists (ACA), is devoted to the scholarly investigation of archives in Canada and internationally. Articles and other submissions are welcomed which explore the history, nature, and theory of archives and the use of archives. The journal aims to be a bridge of communication among archivists, and between archivists and users of archives.
