Author Biography

Mark Hopkins

Lawrence D. Geller is National Endowment for the Humanities Archivist of Hadassah: The Women's Zionist Organization of America. He served from 1969 until 1982 as Director of the Pilgrim Society and Archivist of Plymouth, Massachusetts. Holder of a Ph.D. from Roosevelt University, he has written five books and numerous pamphlets and articles on historical and archival themes. Since joining the Public Archives of Canada in 1974, Mark Hopkins has worked in both private sector and federal government textual records. He is now Chief of the Reference and Information Processing Section, Federal Archives Division.
