Author Biography

Jessica Bushey

Jessica Bushey is the Digital Imaging Head at the University of British Columbia’s Museum of Anthropology. She received her Master of Archival Studies from the University of British Columbia in 2005 and was a Graduate Research Assistant with the InterPARES 2 Project from 2003 to 2005. She has presented papers on the subject of born digital images at the 2007 International Symposium on Technologies for Digital Fulfillment, sponsored by the Society for Imaging Science and Technology, and at the 2006 Joint Annual Meeting of the Society of American Archivists (SAA), the Council of State Archivists (CoSA), and the National Association of Government Archives and Records Administrators (NAGARA).

They are required to sign the Agreement on Authors' Rights and Responsibilities that permits Archivaria to publish and disseminate the work in print and electronically. In the same agreement, authors are required to confirm that "the material submitted for publication in Archivaria, both in its paper and electronic versions, including reproductions of other works (e.g. photographs, maps, etc.) does not infringe upon any existing copyright." Authors of manuscripts accepted for publication retain copyright in their work and are able to publish their articles in institutional repositories or elsewhere as long as the piece is posted after its original appearance on archivaria.ca. Any reproduction within one year following the date of this agreement requires the permission of the General Editor.
