Author Biography

Judi Cumming
Judi Cumming received her B.A. in 1965 and her M.A. in Canadian Studies from Carleton University's Institute of Canadian Studies in 1991. She has worked in the Manuscript Division of the National Archives of Canada for most of her archival career, with short stints in the Government Archives Division, the Archives Library, and the Personnel Services Division. She served as the Manuscript Division's first Chair of the Acquisition Committee, was Chief of the Social and Cultural Archives Section and is currently the Acting Chief of the Public Archives Section, which is responsible for the archival records of public servants, Supreme Court judges, governors general, private military records, and pre-Confederation colonial records.
