Author Biographies

Bryan Corbett
Bryan Corbett is Chief Archivist of the University of Alberta, Edmonton, a position he has held since 1987. He received an Honours B.A. degree from the University of Saskatchewan (1969) and an M.A. degree in Canadian History from Carleton University (1973). He has been actively involved in the Association of Canadian Archivists since its founding. He is currently Chairman of the ACA Education Committee, President of the Alberta Society of Archivists, and a member of the Canadian Council of Archives Acquisition Committee. He was previously employed as Coordinator of Records Management for Petro Canada, Calgary (1981-86) and Chief of the Natural Resources Records Section of the Government Archives Division (then Federal Archives Division), National Archives of Canada (1974-8 I). He co-authored the "Frost-Corbett Report" published in Archivaria 17.
Margery Tanner Hadley
Margery Hadley received an M.A. degree in Canadian Historical Geography from the University of Calgary (1984). She is currently employed as a Project Archivist at the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies, Banff, preparing a guide to the photographic collections. Since 1988 she has been Chair of the Education Committee of the Alberta Society of Archivists, and was previously Coordinator of the Education Committee Planning Group which produced the society's five-year education plan.
